Dell to take another shot at MacBook Air

FANTASTIC MacBook Air is a superior ecosystem experience.Great MacBook Air is a collection of things. hardware is part of it. Not just thin hardware, but industry-leading uni-body construction .Dell makes and sells hardware, so they can’t compete at the full ecosystem level., Dell has to use the only leverage they can really control: price. MacBook Airs aren’t purchased based on price, therefore Dell can’t compete with them. Therefore Companies buy PCs based on price and that’s why Dell does well with CIO’s, almost all of whom are rewarded if they minimize cost.
I know PC users who buy Macbook Airs to put Windows on it. It’s very easy. You can actually designate in Boot Camp what OS you want to appear on boot. I’ve played with my sister’s MacBook Air and it is the most compact, and well made laptop in history. There’s no creaking when you open it, and it doesn’t break your arm if you’re carrying it around for a hour or so, as I learned when I borrowed her Air to get a good look at Lion a month ago.n that case, Dell need to ship their ultra thin machine with Linux pre-installed to compete :-) On a slightly more serious note, it would actually be nice if Dell at least certified their Windows-running machines to be Linux-compatible, even if they didn’t actually ship Linux with them. the article say a good news and I called him “good messenger”
